Minutes
September 30, 2013
The Newtown Pension Committee met on Monday September 30, 2013 in the lower meeting room of Town Hall South. The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm.
Present: Barbara Bloom, Tom Murtha, Dunham Smith, Frank Krasowski.
Also in attendance: Carole Ross, HR, John Vaccaro, Joseph Tatusko and Christopher DeLaura of Westport Resources
Presentation by Westport Resources:
Westport Resources presented the current performance, allocation, market environment and strategy report to include up to September 20th of the total portfolio.
A discussion took place involving the use of Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) and whether the Pension Committee should include them in the portfolio. No decision was reached. This discussion will continue at the next meeting.
The meeting of October 21st is expected to be a joint meeting with the Board of Selectmen with Westport Resources. Mrs. Ross will confirm.
